Holy smokes I've been falling behind with your updates! My apologies. We've been rocking & rolling in English 10 and doing our best to finish up Lord of the Flies in time to put a cherry on top before Thanksgiving Break. Last week was Veteran's Day activities, a day off, and a send-off for the SMHS football team. But for the sake of continuity and laying it all out, here's what we've been working on: Chapters 8, 9, and 10 reading Say Something activity The Beastie collage project, and The Box-in-a-box theme graphic organizer Tomorrow and Friday, we will finish up the book, and prep for our end-of-novel Socratic seminar. Hooray!

Thursday: Chapter 6 reading & Popsicle stick Say Something Friday: Chapter 7 Reader's Theater You guys did a GREAT job last week responding to more student centered activities that required you to "get after it" a bit more. Let's keep it up! Last week began with a trip to James Rumsey, followed by a day of questioning, Read What You Want Day, and two days of LOTF group reading.
It was a bit disjointed, but we'll circle our wagons this upcoming week.
